Affordable online degree completion program launched by Arkansas Tech

The accelerated degree program is entirely online. If you are looking for a faster and convenient way to receive a degree this would be a great school to check into.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Arkansas is ranked 49th in the country for adults with bachelor’s degrees. Arkansas Tech University is committed to changing that statistic through its online Accelerated Degree Program, aimed at providing adult Arkansans who have earned some college credit, but have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree, with a new, economical option for completing their higher education.

Arkansas Tech is the only public university in the state that is putting significant staff and financial resources behind a 100 percent online degree completion program. The university is employing a staff of six full-time faculty and marketing the program to a statewide audience.

Ohio University, Adena to Participate in Accelerated Nursing Program

Looking for an accelerated nursing program? Then check out the degree Ohio University is now offerring the nursing community.

Thanks to a recent federal grant awarded to Ohio University, Adena Health System soon will be part of an accelerated nurse training program.

The $750,000 grant was awarded to Ohio University this month by the federal Health Resources and Services Administration. The university has included Adena in its network of partners to offer the accelerated nursing program to students.

“The program is designed for individuals who have a bachelor’s degree in another field and wish to change career paths in a short amount of time,” said Dr. Joyce Zurmehly, Adena’s director of evidence-based practice and associate professor at OU who proposed the Ohio University Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Accelerated Direct Entry Second Degree Education Program.
