Program At The John Marshall Law School Allows College Students To Earn Two Degrees At An Accelerated Pace

In response to the increased cost of combined undergraduate and law school tuition, The John Marshall Law School in Chicago has partnered with several universities to offer a 3+3 Degree Program. The accelerated degree program allows college students to complete their last year of a bachelor’s degree program and first year of law school simultaneously, effectively saving one year of undergraduate tuition and fees.

The John Marshall Law School currently has 3+3 degree programs agreements with Lewis University, Lake Forest College, Roosevelt University and St. Joseph’s College in Indiana.

Albright College appoints dean of adult and professional studies

Andra M. Basu, of Allentown, has been appointed dean of adult and professional studies at Albright College. Basu will provide academic leadership to the accelerated degree programs, including the degree start program, degree completion program and non-credit programs. She will also be responsible for developing new programs and locations.

Benefits of Accelerated Degree programs:

  • The main benefit of accelerated degree programs is the lesser “completion time”. Because the conventional bachelor degree takes four years, while an accelerated one takes less than two years i.e. less than a half of time.
  • It opens one’s gateway for achieving a raise or promotion in one’s current job or if one wishes to launch an entirely new carrier; accelerated programs will help to attain one’s higher position without leaving job.
